Wanderlust, I am happiest when I am able to combine work and travel. I’m never quite sure what exactly I am looking for, if anything in particular, other than the sheer joy of the unknown. All that I know is that the more I travel, the smaller the world seems.
My name is Thomas Conant and I am a 24 year old IDS graduate from Canada. From September 2012 to February 2013 I will be living in Kakamega, Kenya, working with a Kenyan NGO called Continuing Education Services (CES). CES is a non profit humanitarian organization dedicated to providing access to education from orphans and other HIV/AIDS affected children living in Kenya.
We will also be coordinating the organization and implementation of an anti-parasitic treatment program for the public school students in Kakamega school district. Out goal is to treat approximately 80, 000 students from 132 public schools.
If you have a desire to support any of the projects, schools or students that I have been writing about you can check out our website
I can assure you that your support will be very helpful to ensure the success of our projects and sponsored students. All donations are tax deductible and will give you a mountain of good karma.
Asante sana! (Thank you!)
